WALT -  Write a descriptive story

Success Criteria -

• We will use our 5 senses to describe our mum.
• We will use descriptive words like adjectives, adverbs.
• We should choose our vocabulary carefully.
• We will use figurative language like similes, Metaphor etc.
• We should organise our ideas using the graphic organiser.
• We should re-read our story to make sure it makes sense.

MUM -

The moment I hear my mums voice I think of her, She makes me feel special in so many ways. Whenever I bring homework home she would always help me, when she screams at me I would always feel my eardrum explode.

When her cooking takes place my tummy is always eager for more, But when she doesn’t cook it would just be me and dad  cooking something in the microwave.  My mum is always creative in her cooking by that I mean so delicious I can’t explain it.

Mum is a special friend  to me.  Although she would always make me smile or cry it does not  matter, even if she screams at me I won’t care because I know she is doing it because she loves me with all her heart.

My mum is caring and kind, she tried her best to keep me happy. When she tells jokes I just could not stop laughing. She is a very funny lady.

Another thing about my mum is that whenever I’m feeling down or angry she will comfort me  and even let me cry out into her shoulder.

Whenever she would give me hugs it brings peace into my heart, but to appreciate her caring, love, help and support that I would have to thank her for all she has done for me, knowing that she would be me every single time.

Smell - Sweet, delight, cocoa powder

Taste  - Golden syrup, sugary, Milky, But not that sweet

See - Dark brown , Which is molded into a container which has patterns on the mold.

Feel - Soft with a delight feeling

Hear - In my mouth I could hear a sparkling noise in me.

The moment I scent the sweet delightful treat, I sat still just waiting for it to get near me. Once I took a piece my brain turned the other way while my mouth exploded with joy, as my taste buds made their way to the moon.

I couldn’t stop jumping up and down because I was to excited, the taste was like golden syrup but sugary and milky but it wasn’t really sweet. To me it felt soft and light but I could hear a sparkling noise just coming from my mouth that made it wanted more.

Where - In a Village called or known as Tonga

What - Happened was that ma'afu two sons through spears around and what happened was that one of the boys hit someone's foot   

Why - Because they were trying to have fun but it turned wrong.

How - Because as one of ma'afu son throw it , it had landed in a person's foot but they didn’t know.

During Maths today our teacher gave us this math problem and we have to work in groups and discuss how to go about solving this problem which I think was a perfect idea. When I was trying to solve it , it was frustrating because it was difficult but Tuakana showed me how to work it out. I am looking forward to solve more problems next time.

Haiku about my Mother Manuarii

Learning to write a HAIKU poems in class. A HAIKU is a poem with 3 lines. The first line must have 5 syllables, the second line also must have 7 syllables, Then the last one would have 5 syllables again. They really don't need to rhyme. We all have to come up with a noun then write about it then we have to come up with at least 3 adjectives to begin our HAIKU poem writing. It was a really good thing to write something like this I have never ever done this before in my life this was really great to get on new activities today.
